Introduction to additional online resources Job specific/recommended Online courses for optional job specific needs Required For complex roles, ensure that new staff have a mentor that provides additional training and support

4 Making it work When necessary, manually tracking new staff as they move through the hiring process to ensure access to training Provide classroom based training regularly and regionally based on growth patterns Provide customized tools from recruiting through onboarding to be used by mentors and hiring managers Provide additional training for mentors Developing local, regional training capacity through use of co-facilitators and easy to use training materials 10/23/2015 Page 4

5 Resources required Flexible budget to cover travel and conferencing space In-country logistical support for organizing training and travel regionally Trainers who can travel globally Agreement from program leaders to let in-country co- facilitators take development opportunities to do training

6 Where we are in the journey Piloted all online orientation courses for the three core roles Revamped classroom courses to blended approach Will have regional trainers for one core role by the end of the year Planning for creating high priority advanced training for core roles in 2012 10/23/2015 Page 6

7 Lessons learned Regional trainers need to be encouraged and supported to get their first training sessions scheduled and delivered Need to be flexible with online delivery approach to some offices with very bad technology issues 10/23/2015 Page 7
