3 Where do they work? ● All over the world ● Areas of Africa, America, Australia, Asia and Europe. - Spain- USA - Norway- Australia - Denmark - Canada - Sweden- Japan - Belgium- Austria - France- Luxembourg - Switzerland- Greece - China (Hong Kong)- The international office is in - ItalySwitzerland. - Germany - Great Britain

4 What do they work with? ● Vaccination ● Training local health workers ● Improving water and sanitary facilities ● Checking the civilians living in a crisis area ● Feeding poor people ● Helping people in need of medical care ● Delivers medical supplies ● Mental health care ● Rehabilitation of hospitals and clinics. ● Aids care and prevention.

5 How do they work? ● Each project team is led by a field coordinator. A team includes a medical coordinator, a logistical coordinator and a financial coordinator. ● When a disaster happens, they always have produced pre- packaged disaster kits ready for transport within hours. ● An average field project team has 4 to 12 international volunteers working in collaboration with up to 200 local staff members ● New volunteers are trained in skills which they will need in the field by a group of emergency experts.

6 When did they start their work? (History) ● Doctors Without Borders was founded in 1971. ● In 1990 they open in US. ● In 1996 DWB movement grows ● In 1999 they received the Nobel Peace Prize
