2 SMALL CITY term definition A small town is one of population smaller town with town privileges or character of the city. The small town is often not as pronounced areas of industry, commerce and housing as a big city. Socio-economic segregation occurs often not to the same extent as in bigger cities. The small town is often a main street with shops and entertainment that runs through the city.
