1 Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network A national network of academic, public health, and community partners who work together to reduce the burden of cancer, especially among those disproportionately affected. This presentation was supported by Cooperative Agreement Number INSERT YOUR CENTER'S NUMBER HERE from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The findings and conclusions in this presentation are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily represent the official position of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

2 Mission The mission of CPCRN is to accelerate the adoption of evidence- based cancer prevention and control in communities, which we are doing through increased understanding of the dissemination and implementation process.

3 Vision The Network is engaged in research and practice activities that span the translation continuum from discovery to the dissemination and adoption of effective interventions. Our research activities will inform evidence reviews, especially the cancer-related sections of the Guide to Community Preventive Services. However, we will go beyond advancing the science of cancer prevention and control; we will also influence public health and primary care practice. In particular, we will be actively engaged in enhancing large-scale efforts to reach underserved populations and reduce their burden of cancer.

4 Organization One of eight Thematic Research Networks in the Prevention Research Centers (PRCs)  Only Thematic Network focused on dissemination and translation Collaboration with two Federal Agencies  CDC – Division of Cancer Prevention and Control  NCI – Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences Eight Network Centers at major research institutions
