CCR Standard is an XML – based format for access to, transport of and interoperable exchange of core summary health information. Allows to import health data from pharmacies, labs, personal data. ASTM CCR becomes part of U.S. Policy for HIT in Jan 2010 Supports continuity of care; Reduces medical errors; Increases efficiency by reducing waste. Has potential to be used in more Personal Health Records such as Google Health. DrFirst, eClinicalWorks, Allscripts, Medirex Systems etc.
