Created by Professor Neil Heffernan in 2003 with funding from NSF, DOE, and others Developed and maintained by team of ~12 CS graduate students and several undergrads in lab at WPI Graduate students also perform research, run studies, analyze data and publish papers Several students funded by NSF grant to work directly with local middle schools and partner teachers Outreach and professional development managed by wife Cristina Heffernan

7. Where is ASSISTments? Currently used by thousands of students in Mass, especially in the greater Worcester area.
