Easter Island is the most remote inhabited island in the world. Easter Island is 63 square miles and has three extinct volcanos.(Easter Island is really just one large volcano.) 4. Items of Easter Island Items of Easter Island are:…….. Carvings of wood.(even though wood was scarce) Obsidian chips from tool making. The Ahu.(which are forbidden to touch or walk on) Stone Moai weighing up to 14 tons and tall as 33 feet. The image of above are of the 15 only moai on Easter Island facing the pacific ocean.

5. Scientists & Easter Island Scientists had found that moai designs were passed down even without written records. Easter Islanders’ original nationality may have came from Polynesia, Tahiti, and other countries of South America.

6. Fun Facts(or Boring) Easter Island was named for the day it was found: Easter Day, 1722. The language of Easter Island is called Rongorongo. Easter Island’s name in Rongorongo is Rapanui.(rah-puh noo-ee) Easter Island’s current language is Spanish. Easter Island’s current population is about 4781-5682 people.
