2 Ezr.9:1-5; 10:1-2, 5-6, 12-13, 16-17 “they have mingled the holy race with the peoples around them. And the leaders and officials have lead the way in this unfaithfulness.”

3 (18 th ) What was in Nehemiah’s heart and how did it get there?

4 Neh.2:11-18 (11) “I had not told anyone what my God had put in my heart to do for Jerusalem.” Rebuild the broken walls and gates around Jerusalem.

5 (19 th ) “Whoever is wise, let him heed these things…” (What things?) and consider the great love of the Lord. What love is referred to here?

6 Psl.107:43 – who ever is wise Psl.107:2-3 – The redeemed of the Lord Psl.107:4/8; 10/15; 17/21-22; 23/31-32

7 (20 th ) “Teach me your” is on the psalmists lips how many times and what is to be taught?

8 119:12, 26, 33, 64, 68 – decrees 119:66 – knowledge and good judgment

9 (21 st ) The personal pronoun “I” shows up often in these verses, can you read this psalm with yourself being that “I”?

10 Please share some thoughts etc. from this experiment.

11 (22 nd ) What are the fates of these two groups of people: those who fear the Lord and those who make idols?

12 Psl.128:1-6 Those who fear - blessed Psl.135:15-18 Those who make idols will become like them.

13 (23 rd ) Why was “the joy of the Lord” their strength? Explain the setting for this phrase.

14 Neh.8:9-10 (7:73b-8:12) The people were hearing the Law read and hearing the explanation of it (many for the 1 st time ever) and they were weeping and morning because of their many failures but were told to rejoice not mourn.
