On 18 of them are comments made by the general public of Bristol after they had been around an exhibition showing how the City of Bristol had made a fortune out of slavery. These comments are how these people interpreted the exhibition. You need to remember that people react to things in different ways and that the exhibition would have had varying effects on everyone who saw it.
