3 Overview of Technical Specifications Two stage Chiller with a cooling capacity of 170kW @ -70°C. Able to run from 20% to 100% of capacity @ all temperatures set points (from 20 to -70°C). Two Operation regimes: – Normal Operation: 170kW @ -70°C; – Warm Operation: 50kW @ -20°C; Runs with 1 st Stage only (R404a). 4 Invitation to Tender Market Survey (x64 companies contacted): – 6x companies were qualified: Angelantoni (it); Cofely Refrigeration (de); GEA Matal / Technofrigo (fr); Johnson Controls (ch); J&E Hall (uk); Telstar (es). 5 Chiller Configuration Original required configurations: – Configuration A: Three redundant chillers each with a capacity of 50% of total power. – Configuration B: One chiller 100% power chiller with redundant compressors + 2 low power chillers (one of them air cooled). Final configuration by J&E Hall: – Two full power chillers (one with air cooled condenser for warm operation). – The two full power chillers cost half the price of any of the original required configurations. – One chiller has been ordered.
