The news article should link to one of the assigned themes (found on the next slide). You are strongly encouraged to use your reading period materials for this – just make sure you include a translation if the news is from Chinese-language media.

17. Group Activity In groups of two or three, you will be assigned a set of questions based on one of the chapters of To Kill a Mockingbird. Work in your groups to answer these questions. Each group needs to submit just one set of answers. You may refer only to your copies of the novel (no phones!) Your answers don't have to be in PEEL paragraphs – bullet points are ok – but please make sure they're well thought through and supported by the text. They also need to be legible as I’ll be collecting your answers at the end of the class.
