16 Ford's thought

17 Ford was a pioneer of "welfare capitalism", designed to improve the lot of his workers and especially to reduce the heavy turnover that had many departments. On January 5, 1914, Ford announced his $5-per- day program, raising the minimum daily pay. It also set a new reduced workweek, although the details vary in different accounts.

18 Ford and Crowther in 1922 described it as six 8- hour-days. Ford was adamantly against labor unions: he thought they were too heavily influenced by some leaders. By 1932, Ford manufecturing one third of all the world's automobiles. He produced in Brasil, Australia, Great Britain and a lot of countries all over the world.
