1 Hestia (Greek), Vesta (Roman) Parents- Kronos and Rhea Sphere of Influence- virgin goddess of hearth and the home. Attributes- associated with anything involving hearth, and swore eternal chastity Birthplace- Crete Favorite Places- the Home

2 Ancient Statue This is from a Roman pot or pottery from the time of pre-476 A.D. I chose this picture because it shows some characteristics of Hestia. One obvious characteristic, the Roman clothing she is wearing. One thing that shows her sphere of influence, is the chair she is sitting in. This shows that she could be relaxing in a house or home. Another thing is the plant, this shows comfort and hearth with is her other sphere of influence.

3 Modern day Picture This is modern day picture drawn by Diana Olmos of Hestia. This picture shows both her sphere of influence and some of her attributes. The first thing to notice is what she is holding. Hestia is holding a vase and some grapes. The vase could be a symbol of the home and the grapes could be a symbol of hearth. She also looks very relaxed and peaceful.
