2 Respondents: – Nordic medical faculty deans and university hospital directors – 44 % replies – Replies are almost equal in all the Nordic countries Position: – 40% Medical faculty deans – 40% University hospital directors – 20% Regional hospital leaders Institution groups: – 40% Medical faculties – 45% University hospitals – 15% Regional health authorities The survey

3 Physically: – Few are fully integrated – More than half are moderately integrated Integration between universities and university hospitals?

4 Administration: – 75 % have a low degree of administrative integration Integration between universities and university hospitals?

5 Finance: – 90 % have little or no financial integration Integration between universities and university hospitals?

6 Management: – 45 % representatives from the university in the board of the university hospital – 60 % representatives from the university hospital in the board of the university Integration between universities and university hospitals?

7 Information Informal information is regarded as most important Half of the respondents feel that they are poorly informed about their collaborating institution
