2 As a teacher it is critical for me to demonstrate mastery of technology teacher standards. ISTE-NETS Teacher Standards It is also critical for me to plan instruction that allows my students to master their technology standards. ISTE-NETS Student Standards As a teacher in Wisconsin, I must also continually improve on the 10 WI Teaching Standards 10 WI Teaching Standards Thanks for viewing my show End of show Enter my portfolio by clicking on the above links to see how I have done this. Examples: Home End ISTE Teacher Standards ISTE Teacher Standards I took a photo and used Photoshop to edit it. In this project I cropped the photo and changed the effects on it. I also took these photos and made them into a collage. See my photo editing wiki page.photo editing wiki page

Teachers: a)design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity. b)develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress. c)customize and personalize learning activities to address students' diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources. d)provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching. Examples: Home End ISTE Teacher Standards ISTE Teacher Standards As a teacher I created a Screencast-O-Matic on how to create a PowerPoint. This digital tool allows students to learn about technology, using a PowerPoint, at their own pace. See my instructional plans page and on my learning objects page.instructional plans page learning objects page

Students: a)apply existing knowledge to generate new ideas, products, or processes. b)create original works as a means of personal or group expression. c)use models and simulations to explore complex systems and issues. d)identify trends and forecast possibilities. Examples: ISTE Student Standards ISTE Student Standards Home End Students create a mind map using Inspiration. This allows the students to take their previous knowledge on animals and their habitats and organize their ideas in an understandable way. To view you can see my Instructional Plans page and my Mind Maps and Inspiration page. Instructional Plans Mind Maps and Inspiration page.

11 Communication and Collaboration Students use digital media and environments to communicate and work collaboratively, including at a distance, to support individual learning and contribute to the learning of others. Students: a)interact, collaborate, and publish with peers, experts, or others employing a variety of digital environments and media. b)communicate information and ideas effectively to multiple audiences using a variety of media and formats. c)develop cultural understanding and global awareness by engaging with learners of other cultures. d)contribute to project teams to produce original works or solve problems. Examples: ISTE Student Standards ISTE Student Standards Home End Students will be interacting with a call in California via Skype. They will video chat about different animals they have seen in their backyard. They will discuss how the habitats are different. To see this visit my Instructional Plans page or my Web 2.0 Tools page.Instructional Plans Web 2.0 Tools

12 Research and Information Fluency Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information. Students: a)plan strategies to guide inquiry. b)locate, organize, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and ethically use information from a variety of sources and media. c)evaluate and select information sources and digital tools based on the appropriateness to specific tasks. d)process data and report results. Examples: ISTE Student Standards ISTE Student Standards Home End Students created a 3-Fold brochure. First they researched an animals from Wisconsin. They did this by using our learning objects page and using those links. They discovered the habitat, food, description and fun facts about the animal. By using PowerPoint the students selected important information, organized, and reported the information by making the 3-fold brochure. To see this project visit my Instructional Plans page or my Desktop Publishing page.learning objects Instructional Plans Desktop Publishing

Examples: ISTE Student Standards ISTE Student Standards Home End The students used Google Maps street view to find their house. They then were posed with the problem of what season and what time of day the picture was taken. The students analyzed the picture to solve the questions. They then wrote the evidence as to why the solution was correct and their decisions are informative. To see this visit my Instructional Plans page or my Web 2.0 Tools page.
