2 Fourth graders our Earth’s surface is changing, and we need you to figure out how and why this is happening! Your job is to research the different types of weather that effect our Earth’s surface, and document interesting facts and events that you find! Have fun during your quest! TaskProcessResourcesEvaluationIntroduction Back to BeginningNotes for the teacher This meteorologist is studying the weather patterns! Image from Google Images

3 Fourth graders, put on your science caps, and get ready to investigate! You will be digging through the websites provided to see how our Earth changes. You are in charge of finding as many fun and interesting facts as possible (at least ten), telling us how your weather type effects (changes) our Earth’s surface. 4 1.) Break up into groups of three or four. 2.) Create a circle map for each type of weather. (flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption, and wind and weathering) 3.) Assign a weather type to each kiddo. (If you are a group of three, have the first person whose has completed their circle map to research the last weather type.) 4.) Once your group has completed their circle maps, then as a group you will place your information on a tree map. 5.) On the bottom of your tree map, in a small paragraph, you need to write down how each weather type effects the Earth’s surface. 6.) Check out the evaluation sheet to make sure you did everything you needed to do. TaskProcessResourcesEvaluationIntroduction Process Notes for the teacherBack to Beginning
