6 CT Geospatial Information Systems Council Legal & Security Working Group FOI and Working Groups We recommend that the Council send a letter to the FOI Commission, asking for advice on the status of the Council’s work groups or subcommittees under the FOI law. It is our thought that the subcommittees can be divided into 3 types: The GIS project group is implementing an existing contract; The Legal group provides advice and is made up of people who do not serve on the Council itself, The remaining subcommittees are policy advisors to the full Council.
