This lesson comes during Investigation Number 1, in “Number Games and Story Problems” and mirrors How Many of Each Color, Session 6 The teacher will gather the students together and show them how to manipulate the objects on the slides in the PowerPoint. Students will complete the PowerPoint template by manipulating the pictures and writing down their number sentences. The student will do a self-assessment (rubric) and the teacher will grade the student according to the rubric that is provided. The rubric may be printed out, or used within the PowerPoint.
