Young people need a sufficient number to become healthy, competent adults. The Search Institute’s framework is based on the developmental needs of young people in North American middle and high schools.

3. www.ymca.org.uk Translation to a UK context YMCA Capabilities Commission explored the translation of the framework for England. With Demos we are establishing the public policy argument for commissioners to support such an approach, recognising these measures.
