3 APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)  APICS CPIM program highlights:  The APICS CPIM certification is required by thousands of employers around the world—and is the proven industry standard.  Benefit from a reputation that is 40 years strong.  Ideal APICS CPIM program candidate:  You are seeking validation or accreditation for future career growth.  You have 2 or more years of experience in your field.  No bachelor's degree is required.

4 APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)  To achieve certification, you must pass all of the following exams:  Basics of Supply Chain Management  Master Planning of Resources  Detailed Scheduling and Planning  Execution and Control of Operations  Strategic Management of Resources  Important note: APICS CPIM exam scores are valid for 10 years from the date of the exam. You must complete all five APICS CPIM exams within 10 years of taking your first APICS CPIM exam.

5 APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)  Topics cover end-to-end supply chain requirements from the first supplier to the end customer—the only certification of its kind in the industry today..  Get frequent updates based on current regulations and trends in industry.  One exam, three modules. Must fill out eligibility application before taking exam  Ideal APICS CSCP program candidate:  You are seeking to improve your organization's cash flow, and to understand the ins and outs of the entire supply chain  3 years of related business experience OR  Bachelor’s degree or the international equivalent* OR  CPIM, CFPIM, CIRM, SCOR-P, C.P.M., CSM or CPSM designations

9 APICS SCOR-P: NEW!!!!!  The APICS SCOR® Professional (SCOR-P) program enables you to learn techniques for managing and measuring the performance of a global supply chain utilizing the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR®) model.  The APICS SCOR-P program:  Establishes in-depth knowledge of the SCOR model and methodsSCOR model  Provides real-world techniques for tackling strategic supply chain issues  Provides a practical method for evaluating the effectiveness of each course  SCOR-P endorsement builds on the SCOR Framework by providing participants with the tools to:  Standardize performance metrics  Build processes to describe what, where and how activities are performed  Create best practices for processes impacting supply chain performance  Manage critical supply chain resources for developing and retaining employees 

10 APICS SCOR-P  APICS SCOR-P exam details  The following courses are recommended but not required for taking the SCOR-P exam.  SCOR- Professional Training three-day course SCOR- Professional Training  Note: Attendance at the SCOR course is not required to take the exam, but in order to purchase the exam, you must purchase the SCOR course.  APICS members receive a discount for SCOR course.  Find a course in your area or contact APICS at service@apics.org to discuss in-house course opportunities. 11 APICS SCOR-P  Taking APICS SCOR-P exams:  Candidates will receive an Authorization to Test (ATT) on the first day of their SCOR-P course. The ATT is valid for six months. 12 Certification Maintenance-CPIM  CPIM  Must earn a total of 75 professional development points every five years.  If you do not maintain your certification within five years, your certification will be placed in suspended status. You will be unable to refer to yourself as a CPIM until your certification is placed back in good standing.  With each additional year your certification is suspended, you are required to submit 15 additional professional development points to reinstate your certification.  If you do not maintain certification within five years of suspension, your certification will expire, and you will be required to retake your exams. You will be unable to refer to yourself as a CPIM until your certification is placed back in good standing

13 Certification Maintenance-CSCP  Must earn a total of 75 professional development points every five years.  If you do not maintain your certification within five years, your certification will be placed in suspended status. 14 Certification Verification  A publicly available online certification verification tool is offered on the APICS website to provide prospective employers and other stakeholders with a simple, easy way to verify an individual’s certification status. 16 Continuing Education for Certification Maintenance  Continuing education, including college/university courses, seminars and conferences, workshops, in-house educational offerings sponsored by your employer, and home-study courses on the following topics are eligible for professional development points.seminars and conferences

17 Activities not eligible for APICS Professional Development Points  Any class on presentation skills, public speaking, best teaching practices, or prerequisites and basic requirements for business classes  APICS certification program administrative tasks, such as changes to the course content  Non-APICS exams (for example, the Certified Purchasing Manager)  Managing a booth at a conference  Reading websites, books or listening to audiotapes  Work experience  Content added to a web site is not considered published work  Basic computer courses  MS Suite courses (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook and Publisher)

18 APICS Certification Maintenance Application  As an APICS certification designee, you must maintain your credentials to validate that your knowledge and skills are current. The requirements for maintaining certification can be met through multiple sources and a variety of professional development activities intended to help individuals ensure they remain relevant and in-demand employees.  How the APICS certification maintenance program works  Candidates are required to maintain every five years.  75 maintenance points are required for the APICS CPIM and CSCP designations; 100 points are required for the APICS CFPIM designation  There is a fee of $75.00 for member price and $150.00 for non member price that has to accompany the application

19 Lifetime Certification  Individuals at least 62 years of age or older who have a current certification are eligible to convert their certification to lifetime.  This eliminates the need to renew the certification every 5 years through the Certification Maintenance Program and resets the expiration to lifetime  Contact APICS in writing at certification@apics.org of your interest to be converted to lifetime status. No fee certification@apics.org

20 APICS SCOR-P: No maintenance required  Maintaining your APICS SCOR-P endorsement  APICS Endorsement credentials do not require a maintenance program to remain active.
