7-1 Frequency Tables, Stem-and-Leaf Plots, and Line Plots Course 2 Vocabulary frequency table – A way to organize data into categories or groups. cumulative frequency – The frequency of all data values that are less than or equal to a given value. stem-and-leaf plot – A graph used to organize and display data so that the frequency can be compared. line plot – A number line with marks or dots that show frequency.

7-1 Frequency Tables, Stem-and-Leaf Plots, and Line Plots Course 2 A frequency table is a way to organize data into categories or groups. By including a cumulative frequency column in your table, you can keep a running total of the frequencies in each category.

7-1 Frequency Tables, Stem-and-Leaf Plots, and Line Plots Course 2 Step 1: you choose scale that includes all the data value. Then separate scale into equal parts. Step 2: find number of data values in each interval. Write these numbers into “frequency” column. Step 3: Find cumulative frequency for each row by adding all the frequency values that are above or in that row!

7-1 Frequency Tables, Stem-and-Leaf Plots, and Line Plots Course 2 2, 18, 5, 15, 7, 10, 1, 10, 4, 16, 7, 11, 17, 3, 8, 14, 13, 10 Students listed the number of days they spent on vacation in one year. Make a Frequency Table Number of Days Spent on Vacation Number of DaysFrequency

7-1 Frequency Tables, Stem-and-Leaf Plots, and Line Plots Course 2 Use the number to make a Tally table and then a Frequency Table 6, 7, 5, 7, 7, 8, 7, 6, 9, 7, 4, 10, 6, 8, 8, 9, 5, 6, 4, 8
