2 INTRODUCTION TASK TEACHER NOTES PROCESS CONCLUSION EVALUATION The English language is complex. When you read, you will find different language features that create emotion, interest, visual images and link ideas. It is what makes you want to read more. You are a member of a linguistic team investigating a language feature that adds meaning to sentences. Your task is to work out the ‘how’, and ‘when’ we use these language features.

3 You are a member of a group of 6. There are three different language features for the group. You will form groups of two. The teacher will assign to each pair a different language feature. Each pair will research the language feature, video examples, create rules of use, and then you will work together to create a powerpoint. You will present your powerpoint to the class on Friday. You will also present a worksheet for the class to complete. Presentations should be 10 minutes long with a one-page worksheet. INTRODUCTION TASK PROCESS EVALUATION CONCLUSION TEACHER NOTES THE TASK
