The TA should write this largely on the class board for all students to see. Students enter their first name and SSID and write in the Session ID.

The TA should guide students on which test to select. If there is a 7 th grader in the classroom, that student will not be able to any tests since these are only 6 th grade tests.

But first, the administrator may want to adjust the students supports for the day and for this particular test. This can be done by clicking the “See/Edit Details.” (Note: only some administrators have permission to do this.) Michael is still waiting…

These changes will not be saved after Michael finishes the test today.

Next there will be a text-to-speech sound check if applicable. (We skip this step).

We encourage teachers to give a practice test or an interim block so the students are already familiar with the test tools and navigation to save time in this part of the test administration.

For this example, he has resumed taking his Grade 6 ELA Practice Test from question 21. The TA may now monitor each student in the class and track what question each student is working on. They also have the ability to pause the test.

SUCCESSFULLY PREPARING ALL STUDENTS FOR THEIR FUTURES 12033 SE 256 TH STREET, KENT, WA 98030 | WWW.KENT.K12.WA.US NOTES AND TIPS ON PAUSING THE TEST 1.In anticipation of having to pause the test for more than 20 minutes (for example: lunch or the end of the day), TA should instruct the students use the final 10-15 minutes of that testing session to look over and confirm the answers they have already chosen. Reason: when the students resume the test, they will no longer be able to see and work on previous questions to which they have already marked an answer. 2.Pausing the test for more than 20 minutes causes notes written on the digital notepad to be lost. 3.Do not fail to pause the test in an effort to allow students to be able to change their previous answers following a break; this jeopardizes the security of the testing administration.
