2 Nouns: Review Remember that a noun is: A Person, Place, or Thing
Nouns can usually be touched!

3 Verbs Action Verbs show what somebody is doing.
The man pulls on the stubborn donkey. What is the action verb in this picture?

4 Verbs Action Verbs show what somebody is doing.
The bear rests on the snow. What is the action verb in this picture? - Sometimes action verbs don’t always seem like action verbs.

5 Verb Tenses Present Tense REMEMBER for the subjects:
HE, SHE, IT  You need to put an “s” on the verb. The striped zebra eats grass every day. We go to school every day. It always rains in March. They wash the car on Saturdays. She makes cookies every day.

Tense describes something that is happening right now. Right NOW ING, Don’t forget the verb “TO BE”

The ducks are walking in the grass. She is watching T.V. I am writing a story. They are fighting right now.

8 Verb Tenses Past Tense REMEMBER that to make the verb tense in the past you need to add “ED” after the noun. The man cleaned the floor. We talked in class. He spilled the juice. Nathan seemed upset.
