PAST SIMPLE TENSE
use We use the past simple to describe a finished event at a specific time in the past. WHEN? Last year Last week Last month YESTERDAY …AGO in 1978
Past simple verbs can be regular or irregular. affirmative Past simple verbs can be regular or irregular. Regular verbs end –d or –ed. Irregular verbs have irregular past forms (V2)

interrogative We form questions with regular and irregular verbs in the past simple with did+ infinitive(V1).

negative We form the negative form of regular and irregular verbs in the past simple with didn’t +infinitive (V1).
