2. Italian Architect and Interior Designer Gianluca Soldi, deeply involved on environmental and social issues, has designed and developed a stylish segregated waste bin aiming to educate on disposal for a better recycling. The result being “Ovetto” (little egg in Italian) a must-have that link together functionality, design and environmental education.

3. Functionality To enhance a segregated waste disposal at home, Ovetto needed to be practical. The bin is divided into three compartments, each one identified with a different colour (for paper and cardboard, plastic bottles, cans, etc). Each compartment has a door for bag change and a small rounded lid at the top for dropping waste. At the top a plastic bottle compactor has been fitted to reduce volume and allow a larger number of bottles to be collected. “OVETTO” RECYCLING MADE STYLISH

4. Design Its egg shape, its colours, its soft lines, give Ovetto a design status that can be fitted easily anywhere and with any interior. Ovetto can be placed at home and in offices, public spaces, schools. Environmental Education Thanks to its functionality and design, Ovetto plays also an educational role. It makes recycling intuitive, easier and fun, a simple daily habit. This environmental "ritual" can be repeated as well outside our homes, in public spaces, offices.
