14  Know your location on campus- Building name and room #  Know your exits, locate the classroom phone and the Red/White flipchart  Medical Issues: When in doubt call 911 -AWC has a duty to seek help if it is obvious they need medical attention  When 911 is called AWC PD is notified and will respond to offer aid and direct EMS to location  Advise students of the procedure to call 911 /AWCPD or go to emergency call box for help because the person needing medical attention could be YOU  Primary concern is safety of the students and staff  Every situation is different, so there is not always a clear cut response - so based on the situation you are in use your best judgment

15  AWC Police are state certified officers  Police presence 24/7  Available for escorts after class  Blue Box Phones – 19 on campus – once hit the AWC police will respond.  Obey the speed limit – you can get a ticket!  Lock your car, your office and your valuables!

17  All AWC Employees are “Responsible” Employees  A responsible employee is a College employee who has the duty to report incidents of sexual violence or other student misconduct, or who a student could reasonably believe has the authority to do so.  RAISE System for Academic Integrity Education ▪ Raising Academic Integrity Standards in Education ▪ The RAISE System educates students about academic integrity and cheating. Students log on and access the training module. The entire module will take your students approximately 55 minutes to complete. They are tested and must view all sections and pass tests to successfully complete the module. ▪ Instructions and access to the link are found at… www.azwestern.edu/Campuslifewww.azwestern.edu/Campuslife

18  Conduct Process  First Violation: Professor addresses and assigns consequence, files IR with Conduct Office, Conduct Office send follow up letter to student.  Second Violation: Academic Dean meets with the student. Documentation sent to Campus Life.  Third violation: Student referred to a Conduct Board ( 2 academic Deans and the Conduct Officer).

19  Call the Crisis Line- 1-866-495-6735  (the student will talk to the clinician or you can talk on behalf of the student). The trained clinician will triage the call depending on the information given.  Call Campus Police- alert them of the situation and ask for assistance  Submit an Incident Report - Immediately

20  Victim Centered  No retaliation/No Discrimination  Confidentiality  Prompt & Effective Steps to end harassment or violence  Eliminate any hostile environment  Prevent its recurrence. Don’t Cancel Class! Call Student Health & Wellness for Classroom Presentations
