10 Comprehensive Review UC policy since 2002 Defines merit using multiple measures of accomplishment and promise Review is based on fourteen academic and personal factors Considers the personal and school context in which the applicant has demonstrated achievement Individualized review of each application

11 Admission to the System Statewide Path Top 9% of California high school graduates Applicants meet general requirements and have a high score on UC admission index Local Path Top 9% of students in local high school Applicants have a 3.0 GPA or better in a specific set of courses Applicants meet 9% benchmark GPA for the high school Index to be recalibrated for fall 2015 applicants
