8 Learning Tasks – 5 types Task – created in Ultranet as instructions but completed on or offline Journal – individual student keeps journal Discussion – class/group discussion Reference – instructions and web site to visit Submission – task created and must be completed online

9 See all tasks for all students - stage of progress, score and feedback icons.

11 Monitor Tab – see progress of each student (VELS progression point in this case).

12 Task – instructions to student. To be completed offline.

13 Submission – always assessed. Upload files (PPT, Doc, Images, Excel files etc).

14 Journal – student reflecting on learning.

15 Discussion – using threads. Teachers can assess quality and frequency of involvement

17 Learning Tasks - observation For each learning item a teacher can write an observation An observation can be seen by teachers, students and parents. Teachers should relate their comment to the VELS confirmations but in everyday language not teacher speak There is no moderation on these comments available

19 Students can be confirmed at curriculum levels – similar to mid/end year reports

20 Opportunities = number of chances provided to demonstrate it Demonstrations = number of times student demonstrated curriculum standard

21 Student view A student will be able to see all their learning items from all their classes. Students can also make observations about their own work. Student will be able to see the assessment given for each task.

22 Students can see themselves, teacher and classmates in relationship view

23 Students see the same info & detailed reports as teachers & parents

24 Students see all learning items, due date & stage of progress, and recent observations

25 Submission This submission is for students to complete online & will be assessed

26 Reference Websites ready to go with instructions

27 Task Task – completed offline. Instructions & resources can be provided. In this case a pen & paper report can be the result.
