Exams and exam questions Requirements of the Nordtest Sampler Certification scheme Requirements for examination topics are based on training course requirements 70% of total mark to pass Multiple-choice (MC) questions weighted 50% of total mark Calculation problems/cases weighted 50 % of total marks 3.5 hour exam General sampling course (Sampling – Basic) MC questions with 3 answer options Calculation problems (information and data to be used to do calculations, planning, prepare reports or forms) Specialist sampling course (Sampling of soil, waste etc.) MC questions with 3 answer options Cases (request to give a general description of sampling setting, plus specific questions where a short answer is required)

3. Exams and exam questions Sampler Education Pilot project Total mark of exams is adjusted to 60 points (100%) and min. 42 points (70%) to pass General sampling course 1.5 hours for 30 MC questions; each correctly answered question is rewarded with 1 point 2 hours for 3 calculation problems; total possible score of 10 points per calculation problem Specialist sampling course 1.5 hours for 30 MC questions; each correctly answered question is rewarded with 1 point 2 hours for 3 cases; total possible score of 10 points per calculation problem
