2 Background Coalition govt spending restrictions on marketing and media remain in place for duration of this Parliament. Scope is broad events, awards, media campaigns HSE has governance systems in place to ensure compliance with govt guidance

3 Audiences Large, Organised, Competent should aim to be self sufficient utilise existing routes lighter touch Smaller, limited organisation, less competent highest priority simple guidance looking for new routes

4 Publications Mainly aimed at SMEs Focus on web based material Reduced portfolio of priced publications Work with industry organisations on publications where necessary – e.g. MEWPs

5 Working Well Together 15 Regional Groups 74 events this year SHADs, DADs, White Van, Mock Trials 7000+ attendees 48% from SMEs (employing 15 or fewer) NEXT YEAR – 50 events planned funding for website needed

6 Printed & Online Media Continue to provide press releases to cover significant events, –e.g. refurbishment initiative Place articles in industry and trade press Infonet Online Forum

7 Stakeholder relations Continue to support events where they clearly support the HSE strategy Work on specific projects where they support the strategy and there are; –clear objectives, leading to –defined outputs and outcomes
