10 Safety and Health Awareness Days (SHADs) Most of the HWL OH&S advisers have participated in the HSE SHADs around the country. Again similar topics are covered – but with some good hands-on demonstrations Falls from height – safe ladder demos, working on fragile roofs Workplace transport – Quad bike and tractor driving Musculoskeletal disorders – demo of lifting aids, lifting techniques Child safety – awareness sessions – a delicate topic Chemical/pesticide exposure – info about regulations and case studies Occupational asthma - causes and intervention – occupational health Partnership Working to Date

11 Partnership Working Where do we go from here? Pilots in aquaculture, arboriculture? More SHADs? We are here, our services are free and we see partnership working as one of the ways forward to improve both health and safety in the workplace
