Warning  This content will get advanced  This class is for you if:  You are a master of Shared Parameters  You have attempted creation of MEP families  You work with logical systems  This class may not be for you if:  None of the above makes any sense  You have not used Revit  You are not a MEP engineer  You have never built a family  This class is not for you if:  You think I talk too fast

Connector Essentials  Communicate MEP info  Pipe Info  Size  Flow  Duct Info  Size  Flow  Electrical  Voltage  Phase  Demand Factor  Force proper system connection

Connector Essentials > Project Use Introduced  Theory  Place Air Terminals  Place Equipment  Logical System  Further Theory  Place Power Panel  Circuit Equipment

Connector Essentials > Connectors in Families  Arrow Point Away  Not Flow Direction  Pipe/Duct Approach  The “X”  Primary vs Secondary  “Fitting” or “Global”  To Link or Not To Link?  “Fitting” or “Global”

Connector Essentials > Connector Settings  Duct Settings  Pipe Settings  Electrical Settings  Cable Tray Settings  Think Duct  Conduit Settings  Think Pipe

Logical Systems  Review in Project  Duct/Pipe Connector Theory  Preset  Calculated  System  Fitting  Fixture Units

Conclusions  Revit MEP Knowledge is Critical  Understanding of Real World is Critical  Revit Family Creation Knowledge is Critical  All Major Connections are Possible  Most of the Mysticism is Lack of Knowledge  You Can Do This
