The AFA first meeting was in November 1945, and AFA was founded in February 1946, as directed by Gen Hap Arnold to Gen Jimmy Doolittle. Among its founders were Cpl Julian Rosenblatt, Jimmy Stewart, Ron Reagan, Jack Warner. Generals, colonels, second looies, top-kicks and buck privates are all just plain "Mister" in AFA." Air Force Association Leads the Way AFA supports educational opportunity and awards for Air Force members and others through a variety of innovative programs designed to help you achieve your educational goals. These include national scholarships and other scholarship opportunities. This program alone has impacted over 13 million students and approximately 24,000 teachers.
