2 Moral Dilemma.. Who would you save? Q1. A building is on fire containing six of the following people: A celebrity A spiritual leader A political leader A pregnant woman A pioneering scientist A nuclear physicist You are only able to save one person from the building. Who would it be and why?

3 Would you save.. Your Favourite Celebrity? Give two reasons why you WOULD save your favourite celebrity over the other individuals in the building? Give two reasons why you WOULD NOT save your favourite celebrity over the other individuals in the building? Other individuals in the building include: Spiritual leader Political leader Pregnant woman Pioneering scientist Nuclear physicist Example FOR: This celeb may donate generously to charity Example AGAINST: Celebrities have no life affirming skills

4 Would you save.. A Spiritual Leader? Give two reasons why you WOULD save a spiritual leader over the other individuals in the building? Give two reasons why you WOULD NOT save a spiritual leader over the other individuals in the building? Other individuals in the building include: Your favourite celebrity Political leader Pregnant woman Pioneering scientist Nuclear physicist Example FOR: Will sadden many peoples lives who follow them. Example AGAINST: Many people follow different faiths, saving one spiritual leader will not benefit everybody

Give two reasons why you WOULD NOT save your political leader over the other individuals in the building? Other individuals in the building include: Your favourite celebrity Spiritual leader Pregnant woman Pioneering scientist Nuclear physicist Example FOR: Will sadden many peoples lives who follow them. Example AGAINST: Many people follow different faiths, saving one spiritual leader will not benefit everybody Example FOR: Loss of a leader could spark economic instability Example AGAINST: A political leader could be easily replaced by somebody in their party.

Example AGAINST: The baby may die in childbirth.

Give two reasons why you WOULD NOT save a pioneering scientist over the other individuals in the building? Other individuals in the building include: Your favourite celebrity Spiritual leader Political leader A pregnant woman Nuclear physicist Example FOR: May come up with the cure for millions of life threatening diseases Example AGAINST: May use extensive animal testing to carry out research

Your rescue equipment only allows you to save the remaining victims one at a time.
