3 Survey When citing a research survey, you must refer to where it was published (in what form, etc.) in order to decide how to cite it . MLA, also, considers a survey as equivalent to an interview, and their format for interviews are as follows:

4 Application IN a small group create a sample citation and works cited for each: survey, graph, personal interview. Use your current research……..MLA format Use your notes, Easy Writer book(page 262), and each other When the group agrees the information is correct display the examples on the board

5 Survey Works Cited Example
Last name, First name. "Name of survey." Survey. DD MonthYYYY.

6 Figures MLA considers anything other than a table a “figure”: photograph, drawing, chart, cartoon, map, etc. Label figures as “Fig. 1, Fig. 2, etc” and use this number when referring to the visual in the text of the paper. Give the figure a title or caption followed by information about the source. Follow MLA citation style for the type of source (online article, webpage, etc).

9 Tables Label tables as Table 1, Table 2 etc.
The label and caption appear above the table on separate lines. The source is given below the table.

In 1985, women aged 65 and older were 59% more likely than men of the same age to reside in a nursing home, and though 11,700 less women of that age group were enrolled in 1999, men over the same time period ranged from 30,000 to 39,000 persons while women accounted for 49,000 to 61,500 (see table 1).

12 Labels, captions, and source information
Source information documentation will always depend upon the medium of the source illustration. If you provide source information with all of your illustrations, you do not need to provide this information on the Works Cited page
