Bianchi, and F. Nasuti (AIAA-2010-7075-399) 2011 JPC/SRTC Best Paper Award  Volunteers needed to support activity and all SRTC members are welcome to participate!!!  Don’t forget to submit best paper award nomination forms  Forward additional nominations directly to I. Bulathsinghala (ivorjb@aero.org)ivorjb@aero.org

6 6 SRTC Participation in Award Selection Committees The Wyld Propulsion Award  The Propulsion Award and the James H. Wyld Memorial Award honoring the developer of the regeneratively-cooled rocket engine were combined in 1964 to become the James H. Wyld Propulsion Award. In 1975, the name was again modified to the Wyld Propulsion Award, which is now presented for outstanding achievement in the development or application of rocket propulsion systems. The Propellants and Combustion Award  Presented for outstanding technical contributions to aeronautical or astronautical combustion engineering. Most recent recipients include R. Ellis, V. Yang, E. Oran, H. Krier, …

7 7 Award Selection Committees Wyld Propulsion Award (Supported by I. Bulathsinghala)  2009-2010 candidates were, –Dr. Stanley K. Borowski from Nuclear and Future Flight TC –Dr. Robert G. Jahn from Electric Propulsion TC –Mr. Dale L. Jensen, PE –Dr. Kenneth K. Kuo from Hybrid Rockets TC –Dr. Roger Myers –Mr. Carl Stechman, PE from Liquid Rockets TC –Dr. Scott Stewart from Propellants and Combustion TC –Dr. Vigor Yang from Liquid(?) Rockets TC  And the winner is… Dr. Kenneth Kuo –For numerous seminal contributions to advancements in hybrid rocket and solid rocket propulsion system, as well as educating more than 110 well-trained propulsion engineers. Propellants and Combustion Award (Supported by J. Hansen)  2009-2010 candidates were, –Dr. Meredith Colket –Dr. Suresh Menon –Dr. Richard Yetter  And the winner is… Dr. Ricard Yetter
