TANKER OPERATIONS Long Laneway – 1 st arriving pumper P-1 FIRE BLDG House?= 38mm x2 + 65mm backup line Barn? = consider 2- 65mm right away Lay a Hi-Vol from the road Good location for I/C, Acct. & Entry Control? Another good location for I/C, Acct. & Entry Control?

TANKER OPERATIONS Long Laneway – 1st arriving tanker P-1 FIRE BLDG T-1 If 1 st Tanker arrives prior to a pumper, hook up to hi vol using 65mm female to stortz adapter then pump to P-1.

TANKER OPERATIONS Long Laneway – 2nd arriving pumper P-1 FIRE BLDG P-2 2 nd arriving pumper, hook up to hi vol and pump to P-1. (Wherever possible pump operators should maintain some water in the on board tank)

TANKER OPERATIONS Long Laneway – 1 st arriving tanker with 2 nd arriving pumper P-1 FIRE BLDG P-2 ASAP we should have a supply pumper in place to feed the attack pumper P-1 via hi vol at a long laneway rural fire 1 st tanker has arrived and has set up a 65mm to pump to supply pumper P-2 (All drivers need to assist each other throughout the event) P-2 T-1

TANKER OPERATIONS Long Laneway – 1 st arriving tanker with 2 nd arriving pumper P-1 FIRE BLDG P-2 1 st arriving tanker and all available drivers, set up porta-tank and dump while continuing 65mm pumping T-1 All available drivers assist P-2 with set up 4” hard suction with draw down strainer. Set up 3” hard suction as well to supplement intake

TANKER OPERATIONS P-1 FIRE BLDG P-2 T-1 Tanker 2 has arrived, pumped to P-2 and set up porta-tank and dump Drivers, take assembled (from top of tanker) 6” hard suction with draw down strainer and 38mm redskin and place from tank to tank connecting redskin to P-2 outlet. Long Laneway – 2nd arriving tanker with 2 nd arriving pumper Flow redskin at 550 to 700 kpa (80 to 100 psi) dependant on desired speed of transfer) T-2

TANKER OPERATIONS P-1 FIRE BLDG P-2 T-3 Tanker 3 has arrived and is pumping to P-2, set up porta-tank and dump Drivers, take assembled (from top of tanker) 4” hard suction with draw down strainer and 38mmredskin and place from tank to original tank connecting redskin to P-2 outlet. Long Laneway – 3rd arriving tanker with 2 nd arriving pumper

AT THE HYDRANT As soon as possible 3 rd arriving Pumper (3) should leave his Firefighters at the fire scene and attend at the tanker fill location, whether it is a hydrant or a static source, pond steam etc. P-3 P-3, ensure the hydrant is flushed and attach a minimum of 1 hi-vol and 2- 65’s from hydrant to truck intakes. (Certainly a hi-vol can be used in place of a 65) Tanker Drivers assist

AT THE HYDRANT Setting this up and pulling water from the system, diverting to tankers through your pump will greatly decrease tanker fill time, especially on a weaker hydrant. P-3 Next, apply 2 lengths of hi-vol, 1 to each discharge of your choice – you may need 2 – 65mm female to stortz adapters, one from P-3 and one from a tanker Tanker Drivers assist T-1 T-2 Tankers have 50’ hi-vol on board

1 st arriving Pumper – only feasible where Pumper can park safely within 10-15 ft of water source AT A STATIC SOURCE (POND, STREAM ETC.) - OPTION 1 P-1 T-1 4” Hard Suction with screen on inlet with 4” hi-vol on discharge to tanker

1 st arriving Pumper – only feasible where Pumper can park safely within 10-15 ft of water source AT A STATIC SOURCE (POND, STREAM ETC.) - OPTION 1 P-1 T-1 Additionally, attach 3” hard suction with screen to 2 nd inlet with an additional 65mm soft line to a 2nd discharge T-2

AT A STATIC SOURCE (POND, STREAM ETC.) - OPTION 2 1 st in Tanker T-1 set up portable pump, hard suction, screen and bucket feeding 65mm soft line to tanker. (be advised Stn 1’s T-1 has a stortz to triple 65mm gated manifold (inset) – as soon as T-1 arrives it should insert this piece of equipment into the system–A-1 also has this item in inventory) T-1 manifold Drop your jerry can too Jerry can

AT A STATIC SOURCE (POND, STREAM ETC.) - OPTION 2 1 st in Tanker Once the manifold has arrived, the feed line from the manifold to the tanker will be a length of hi-vol (don’t forget to open the gate on the pump side of the manifold) T-1

AT A STATIC SOURCE (POND, STREAM ETC.) - OPTION 2 2 nd arriving tanker T-2 set up 2 nd portable pump, hard suction screen and bucket to 2 nd manifold intake – fill time now cut in half T-2 Drop your jerry can too

AT A STATIC SOURCE (POND, STREAM ETC.) - OPTION 2 3rd arriving tanker T-3 set up 2 nd portable pump, hard suction screen and bucket to 2 nd manifold intake – fill decreased by another 3rd T-3 Drop your jerry can too
