Currently, 7 sites are still needed to achieve IOC. All advance preparation work has been finished or in progress for the remaining 7 sites.

19 Presenter’s Name June 17, 2003 October 16, 2015 19 Maritime DGPS Recap/Upgrades  FC-20  FC-20: Upgraded Receivers & Antennas: L1/L2 (L2C) Geodetic Grade  EC-03  Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment.  Accuracy is observed to be 1-3 meters  New system architecture is easier and less expensive to upgrade as new technologies become available.  Ethernet based with remote troubleshooting capability.  RTCI-Remote Transmitter Comms Interface.  RCA Transmitter upgrade enables watchstanders to control transmitter remotely. 20 Presenter’s Name June 17, 2003 October 16, 2015 20 GPS Surface Observing System (GSOS) Network. NOAA’s Forecast Systems Lab NOAA also uses data from our DGPS sites to continuously measure the water vapor in the atmosphere. Greatly improves short term weather forecasts.
