4 Why across curriculums? Embedded within the new Key Stage 3 curriculum: help make learning real and relevant (QCA 2008, Cross Curriculum Dimensions, a planning guide for schools) 7 dimensions: identity & cultural diversity; healthy lifestyles; community participation; enterprise; global dimension & sustainable development; technology and the media; creativity and critical thinking. Engaging students from lesson to lesson, linking to their lived reality Raising the profile of geography across the school
