2 Teenage Pregnancy Strategy 10 year strategy, produced by Social Exclusion Unit and launched by the Prime Minister in 1999

3 National Targets To halve the under 18 conception rate by 2010 (with an interim target of 15% reduction by 2004) and establish a downward trend in the under 16 rate Increase participation of teenage mothers in education, training, employment to 60% by 2010 to reduce their long term risk of social exclusion
