Where neither of the above circumstances exist, the School will need to make a case for the module to be approved citing the significant institutional interests served by the module. Rationale - Curriculum congestion = reduction in student choice and greater staff workload

6 Academic Services Division Key Dates for 2009/10 October 2009 Saturn open for editing 2010/11 Programme and Module Specifications 12 March 2010 Deadline for Programme and Module Spec changes for : draft publication, module pre-enrolment, timetabling processes. 7 April 2010 Publication of Draft Online Programme and Module Specs for 2010/11 30 April 2010 Deadline for new programme spec submissions for 2010/11 and business cases for 2011/12 20 August 2010 Approval deadline for all 2010/11 programme specs (new and changes) and 2010/11 business cases. Quickly followed by the module build (process which automatically enrols students on their compulsory module enrolments). 17 September 2010 Publication of Definitive Programme and Module Specs for 2010/11. Saturn Module Maintenance closed to direct editing of 2010/11 records by Schools.
