3 What is our role? To help SQA use ICT more effectively to support delivery and assessment of our qualifications Three main areas of work: –Automating our processes –Allowing candidates to take our assessments using computers –Providing training to teachers who deliver our qualifications

14 The Understanding Standards Website Objectives of the website To make comprehensive and definitive assessment guidelines easily accessible on a dedicated website To provide online, a structure to allow subject teachers/lecturers to develop their assessment skills

15 The Understanding Standards Website What the website provides: Explanations and illustrations of the Assessment Principles of the subject The opportunity to assess candidates responses to real assessments The opportunity to view rich feedback on how the assessment team has judged these same responses

Details were sent to SQA Co-ordinators in February 2005 Promotional material will direct teaching staff to their SQA Co-ordinator for access details Role of the Centre Co-ordinator
