Ensure technical skills, knowledge and understanding keep pace with a rapidly changing world To ensure that the awards remain an entry mechanism to employment and further study To continue to meet the needs of employers To ensure that the awards are adapted in line with the expectations of all stakeholders

5 Important Points The Course Tutor Guides are a vital source of information and guidance The website is also vital It is critical that the centres appreciate that the Units are different and that they must deliver the correct Units on the new courses. Same names, different codes Unit specifications and evidence requirements are critical (these set the standards)

6 Where a unit code has changed the outcomes & evidence requirements will be different Where the unit code is the same there is no change to the outcomes & evidence requirements There are Assessment Exemplars, however alternative methods may be possible Alternative assessments designed by a centre must be submitted for prior verification
