Integration and Context Aware Environments??  Terms are not synonymous –Integration- Data integration is taking information from multiple sources and providing a uniform interface to access all of these data. Elite Care’s computer network is linked to devices that track the resident's whereabouts (important for Alzheimer's patients), alert caregivers in the event that a resident falls, monitor weight and temperature, and even cross-reference their life experiences to help jump-start friendships. Residents continue to make meaningful decisions and exert control over their surroundings. –Residential Design - Private resident rooms open onto large common spaces such as the kitchen, activity room, and great room. –Neighborhood Focus - Facilities are in established suburban neighborhoods where residents can benefit from the natural environment and interaction with the community.  Elite Care Philosophy: –Power, Language, Competence, Context, Development, Spirituality, & Choice --All Matter to Senior Residents

Pervasive Computing Context Awareness  Key Questions: –What are some additional applications of Pervasive Computing or Context Awareness that you can think of? –Which will gain greatest market acceptance? Why? –Will individual privacy ever make a comeback?
