Best Practices for iModules Websites Updating the College email security policy I have suggested that:  The relationship between members of each class is a special case  Classmates should be able to exchange emails directly and easily to encourage and facilitate that special relationship.  College should provision a page listing classmates names with ability to click to send an email

Best Practices for iModules Websites Conditions for allowing direct Email to Classmates  Contact information are be secured by College login  Display prevents users from making a bulk copy of email addresses  Opt-out flag in their College profile to prevent their email address from be shared with classmates  A letter will go out to all alums notifying new policy with a link to profile flag to opt-out

Confidentiality and Restrictions on use of email addresses  Classmates who wish to access the list must first read and agree to the College policy  Restrictions on use of email addresses should be written in plain, simple and brief language that can be read and understood  Statement defines the terms of use  Useless unless read and understood

The College has agreed  The College will build a new page displaying a list of classmates with the ability to click and email directly to any classmate  It will use the actual email address and your email system – not a redirected form  You will get bounce-backs and non-delivery notices  Email addresses will come directly from the College database in real time

12. When will it be done?  We hope to have a working version out in 8-10 weeks  This is a bold, ambitious decision  The first version might be imperfect and continued effort will be made to deal with improvements from what we learn 
