2.  GIB was founded in Berlin in 1990. The consultancy activities of GIB in the area of innovation and industrial research are based on close co-operation of GIB academic director Prof. Dr. H.-J. Ewers (actual President of the Technical University in Berlin) and managing director Dr. C. Becker and have been expanded with a technology- engineering branch.  The association has long experience of consultancy in the areas of empirical technology and innovation research, in (regional) economic aiding (promotion), in labour market and in economic development policy.
