Israel & God’s Mercy *Paul’s heart for his people: -The nation of Israel is......God’s chosen nation -The people of Israel......Heirs of His promises...Recipients of the covenants...Recipients of the law...Ancestors of the patriarchs *Was this good enough for salvation? * “Most of the people of Israel have not found the favor of God they were so earnestly looking for.”

God’s Plan For Israel *That they would be a light to the Gentiles.” -How can God’s people be a light when they themselves reject Him? -Since majority have rejected Him, does that mean God has failed to keep His promise to Israel? *Not all are “True Israel” *Many sought righteousness on their own, apart from faith *He gave them over to their stubbornness.

God’s Sovereignty & Our Choice *God sometimes hardens hearts: -He allows people to go their own way *Are they beyond recovery? -And if the people turn from their unbelief, they will be grafted in again *How about you: -There was a time when you didn’t know Jesus -You chose (by faith) to receive His grace

26. Extending His Mercy *How can others believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? *How can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? *Who in your life needs to hear about Jesus?
