3 What’s going on?  We wanted to know what kids are eating, so we asked our classmates to tell us. Their answers show that many of them are trying hard to eat healthy. How? By eating fruits, vegetables, drinking milk, water, and 100% fruit juice.

4 How many times did you have a vegetable yesterday?  26% of kids said they had veggies three times or more.  16% said they had vegetables twice.  25% said they had one serving of a vegetable.  33% said they had none.

5 None is no good!  One is better than none.  Two is on the right track!  Three is great news!

6 How to Eat More Good Food?  Eat five portions of fruit and vegetables every day.  Change the way you cook food - try grilling instead of frying, and steam instead of boiling.  Reduce fat and sugar.  Increase starchy foods (pasta, rice and potatoes).
