Summary Part I Due to a reduction of funding, there has been a decline in the number of schools and students served, clinic visits, and services provided by Learning Well school-based health clinics. Nearly 20 percent of all students in Marion County were served by Learning Well clinics during the 2013-2014 school year. Learning Well provided nearly 200,000 clinic services, in the 2013-2014 school year, despite a decrease in the number of participating schools. Half of the students in schools with Learning Well clinics visited it at least once in the 2013-2014 school year. Nearly three-fourths of the students in Learning Well schools qualified for free or reduced lunches.
26
Summary Part II For almost a decade Learning Well clinics were present in 50 or more schools (2005 -2014). From the school years 2007 to 2013, Learning Well clinics served an average of 22,700 students. For the seventh consecutive school year, Learning Well has provided over 180,000 clinic visits.
